These days you can buy just about anything on Amazon.

Although they started off as a simple online bookstore, they’ve since expanded to provide pretty much any kind of service or good that you could imagine. Beyond just filling your home with decorations and furniture, however, Amazon actually sells things that are way bigger that you can make on your own.

As it turns out, you can buy entire DIY guest houses for your home on Amazon now.

That’s right, there’s a complete studio cabin kit on Amazon that you can buy for just about $7,000.

If you ever wanted to spruce up your backyard (assuming that there’s a decent amount of room back there), all you have to do is have about 172 square feet’s worth of space and a little bit of time to put the structure together.

What you get in the box is just the materials and the walls to build the guest house, though it can be extremely multifunctional depending on your purposes.

Altogether, the home should only take about eight hours for two adults to build.

While the actual structure doesn’t come with the extra hookups necessary to turn it into a livable home, they’re still easy enough to add.

If you want to use the space for storage, this is a simple and easy way to do that, but anyone who wants to make it livable can do that as well. All you’ll have to do is look up how to install HVAC, water and electricity to the home (or hire a contractor to help you do it if you’re unsure). Though it comes as a plain wooden structure, you can easily paint the outside however you like and use it for whatever you need.

As it turns out, there’s also more than one of these models available on the site.

Regardless of which one you choose to buy, each one comes with many different uses.

In general, the floor plans on these essentially just one room buildings as well as an outdoor patio type area. If you want to use it as a storage space, these work perfectly. On the other hand, they could also serve as a boxed in hang-out area or a playhouse for your kids. Whatever the reason, these structures are sure to bring all new life to your backyard.

As it turns out, there are actually quite a few of these available at different price points as well.

Although the pull of these DIY sets is that they’re a cheap and easy way to add a building to your home, you can go as high-end as you want.

Beyond the smaller ones that are within the range of $7,000-$9,000, there are also larger cabins with multiple rooms that go for closer to $18,000-$20,000. If you’re an eco-friendly person, there are even small container homes that are solar powered that you can buy for about $25,000.

When it comes to backyard structures and other home decorations, there are a lot more options on Amazon than you may realize.

If you’ve got the time and are DIY-minded, consider trying one of these houses out for yourself!
